Okay, so here is the third and final installment of Paris. I promise no more photo-overload after this post. I’ll be back next time with a grain-free chocolate chip-pecan-cranberry scone that is worth waiting for! This post is mostly just a download of pictures. I think Paris is the most magnificent city. I love the buildings, the iron balconies, the little parks, the big doors. I can’t chose favorite pictures so here is a sampling!
I love the Luxembourg Gardens. We used to always stay at a hotel just a couple of blocks away. I think some of the best hours of my trips are sitting on a bench and people watching. On the weekends, it is full of families, and they even have pony rides!
We spent a morning at the Picasso museum. It is in a beautiful old mansion that underwent a recent, long remodel. It was closed during my other visits, but it was open this time. I got tickets online in advance which meant no waiting in line! We got there when it opened so the crowds were light. He was quite the artist, seeing the world in a truly unique manner. My favorites were the sculptures. And the building itself, including even the views outside the windows.
The Place des Vosges is just down the street from the apartment. It is a lovely little square, I believe one of the oldest in Paris. It is a park in the middle with shops and cafes around the edges. It was beautiful weather to sit outside. I loved sitting next to the gentleman who was sketching and painting.
So that ends your trip to Paris with me! I’ll be back to regular programming, maybe even this week!
