I am a personal chef who cooks delicious, minimally processed, healthy foods, sensitve to your allergy concerns and food preferences. As a long time oncology nurse, I am especially interested in cooking to help you achieve optimal health and recovery after illness, or to help prevent illness through food. I believe in eating real food, not processed, packaged or food full of artifical flavorings, colorings, stabilizers or other chemical additives. No fad diets, fancy new supplement, or amazing miracle food. Eating real foods like whole grains, vegetables, fruits, healthy oils, herbs and spices, beans, and nuts is the foundation of a healthy, plant-based approach to eating. Each person's body is unique and I believe you have to learn what food is right for you. Find out your needs and cater to them. Changing eating habits is never easy but whole foods prepared for you in your home is a good start.
I am trained in vegetarian/vegan, raw, Macrobiotic and Ayurvedic cooking. I can also cook Paleo, Specific Carbohydrate, American Heart Association or other plans that support your health goals. Together we can find a plan that is perfect for you. In my cooking, I strive to use local foods, and cook what's in season. Although I advocate a plant-based diet, humanely and sustainably raised animals, eggs, and fish may have a role in a balanced diet if requested.

I can help you take the first step to a healthier lifestyle by beginning with you in the place where you make your food. We will go through your kitchen and pantry together and talk about what you keep in your kitchen, what are healthy alternatives and how to create a space that encourages you to make choices that will nourish you and lead you to the healthy life you desire.

Food is very personal. And if you are hiring a chef, you expect personalized service. I will work with you to understand what works well for you, and we will stay in constant contact to refine and update your menu to support your food choices, palate, lifestyle, and health.
You are also busy. I can work with your schedule and needs to produce and package your meals in a way that facilitates your active lifestyle. My service makes meals worry-free and accessible for you so you can focus on the things that are important.
The fee will vary depending on the nature of the job (e.g., catering, retreats, private cooking, etc.). I offer a free initial consultation and a market competitive rate for personal chef work.
